Storage device management for photographers
Keep track of every SD card, SSD and hard drive you own: what it is, who has it, where it is and what has happened to it. No more guessing which card is still in the bag.
Everything you need to know about a device
Each device has its own page with the details that matter when you are packing for a shoot or looking for a lost card.
SD cards, SSDs and hard drives
Record what each device is. For SD cards you can also note the standard (SD, SDHC, SDXC or SDUC) and whether it is a micro SD.
Known sizes
Pick the size from the capacities that really exist for that type of device, shown in GB or TB, so your records stay tidy.
Model suggestions
Start typing and choose from common SD card lines from SanDisk, Lexar, Samsung, Kingston, Sony and more, or enter your own.
Serial numbers
Keep an optional serial number against every device. Run one command, paste the result and pick the right device to fill it in for you.
Who has it
Assign a device to a member of your team so everyone knows who is responsible for a card or drive.
Where it is
Note its location, such as the camera bag, the studio drawer or the safe, and search for it later.
A photo of each device
Add a picture so you can recognise a card or drive at a glance in the list.
Full history
Every change is recorded with who made it and when, so you can see how a device moved between people and places.
How it works
- Step 1
Add a device
Choose the type, size and model, give it a name and, if you like, a photo.
- Step 2
Say who has it and where it is
Assign it to a team member and note its location. Update it whenever it moves.
- Step 3
Add the serial number
Type it in or use the scan helper to read it from the device plugged into your computer.
- Step 4
See everything at a glance
The overview shows how many devices you have and how much storage that adds up to, with a history for each one.
Who it is for
Wedding and event photographers
Rotate several cards through a day and always know which ones are full, backed up or still in the camera.
Teams and second shooters
See at a glance who is holding which card or drive and where the rest are.
Studios and archives
Keep a record of backup drives and SSDs, what they are and where they are stored.
Frequently asked questions
What kinds of storage device can I manage?
SD cards (including micro SD and the SD, SDHC, SDXC and SDUC standards), SSDs and hard drives.
Can I record a serial number?
Yes, the serial number is optional. Web browsers cannot read drive details directly, so the scan helper gives you a short command to run on your computer. Paste the result back in and choose the device to fill the serial number in.
Can my team see who has a card?
Yes. Each device can be assigned to a member of your team, and access follows the roles and permissions you set for your account.
Does it keep a history of changes?
Every time a device is created, changed or deleted the change is recorded with who made it and when, so you can look back at how it moved.
Do I need to upload photos to use it?
No. Storage device management is a register of your physical devices and works on its own, separately from your albums and photos.
Who can see my devices?
Only you and the team members you give access to. Devices belong to your creator account and are not shown on your public profile.
